Ebay Find of the Day: $53 Pontiac Fiero takes wood-grain interior to the next level.

1988 Pontiac Fiero Woodgrain Interior Black Bumper

The Pontiac Fiero in it’s day was the poor man’s Corvette. -But who says that just because the Fiero is an economy two seater that it doesn’t deserve a wood grain interior? We do, after seeing this Fiero on ebay.

1988 Pontiac Fiero Woodgrain Interior Door HandleThe Pontiac Fiero debuted as a mid engine sport two seater in 1984. General Motors little sports car played second fiddle to its more powerful cousin the Chevrolet Corvette. However after posting strong sales in 1984 sales dropped steeply each year until its final production run in 1988.

The car’s short four year stint in the market place was attributed mainly to its woefully under preforming 2.5L (Iron Duke) engine and it’s cheap plastic interior. Several companies stepped up to offer small block Chevy engine conversions, but Fiero owners were still saddled with a cheap interior.

One Fiero owner decided to take matters in to his own hands and make his own wood grain interior. In our “ebay find of the day” he illustrated what you can do (but shouldn’t) to a homely Fiero.

Sure the bid is currently only $53.00 but with “a first class flat black spray paint job that is peeling off”, “most a tank of gas”,  exhaust leak, smoking motor and this interior don’t expect it to stay that low for long. Click here for auction link.
