A Brief History of The Ford Mustang

Since its introduction on April 17, 1964 the Ford Mustang has sold over 9,000,000 units in the last 46 years to become the best selling sports / muscle / pony car in history. It still holds the record for most models sold in the initial year, and became the quickest car to one million units? So, how did the Mustang become the All American icon and perennial sales leader?
